JustSystems Named as IBM "Advanced Partner"

Companies work to advance XML-based solutions for business

ANAHEIM, Calif - October 16, 2006 - JustSystems, Inc., a leading global enterprise software company, today announced it has attained the status of "IBM Advanced Partner". This recognition by IBM (NYSE: IBM) expands an ongoing relationship between the two companies, and confirms that JustSystems has met all of the criteria associated with the IBM Advanced Partner designation.

The companies have also announced a formal Teaming Agreement. The agreement includes joint go-to-market plan for sales and marketing and will help drive adoption of IBM’s pureXML™ technology. The agreement also establishes JustSystems’ ability to take part in additional IBM programs, including the "Ready for IBM DB2 Data Server Software" program.

"JustSystems is a longtime partner to IBM and continues to build new solutions, such as xfy, that complement the value of IBM software," said Bernie Spang, director IBM data servers. "This partnership will help IBM and JustSystems customers to benefit from breakthrough XML-based solutions that drive business results.”

IBM Advanced Partners must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a prosperous business relationship with IBM. In addition, Advanced Partners must demonstrate that their IBM-based solutions have been successfully implemented at a customer site and are required to participate in an annual re-qualification process, at which time a new customer experience must be submitted, verified and approved to maintain Advanced Partner status.

"We are pleased to have our strategic partnership recognized by IBM in their decision to promote JustSystems to the Advanced Partner level,” said Michelle De Hertogh, VP of business development, JustSystems, Inc. "Our team is well positioned to leverage the power of IBM’s DB2 9 with our own ‘xfy™ Enterprise Solution’ and develop solutions that support IBM’s industry leadership and deliver real business value to its customers. The teaming agreement will enable us to do so quickly and in close cooperation with IBM."

The IBM PartnerWorld program is unique in that companies are promoted based largely on merit, accomplishments and joint customer success.

JustSystems will be exhibiting at the IBM Information On Demand event (booth #D403), taking place October 15-20, 2006 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
