JustSystems Announces XBRL-based Financial Solution

Global technology innovator first to offer dynamic, visual presentation of financial data leveraging the accuracy and reliability of the XBRL open standard

PALO ALTO, California/Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (14th International XBRL Conference) - December 4, 2006 - JustSystems, Inc., a leading global enterprise software company, today announced plans to launch its new xfy XBRL Solution. Designed to provide organizations with major benefits in the preparation, analysis and communication of financial information, xfy XBRL Solution will enable more accurate and less expensive financial reporting, and firmly supports the company’s ongoing investment and commitment to the open, standards-based community.

Organizations can see their first glimpse of the product at the 14th International XBRL Conference, December 4-6, 2006 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

"Users of financial data, including investors, analysts, financial institutions and regulators, now have the ability to receive, compare and analyze data much more efficiently via the XBRL standard," said Edward Screven, Chief Corporate Architect, Oracle. "The visual layer provided by the JustSystems solution adds value by making it easier for business users to digest the data."

The JustSystems xfy XBRL Solution drives down the cost of compliance, reducing the time and cost involved with increasingly stringent SEC and other regulatory filings. This represents the first ever financial reporting tool to feature dynamic, visual presentation of financial data while leveraging the accuracy and reliability inherent to the XBRL standard.

"Since its introduction ten years ago, XML has had a major impact on business computing, ensuring free flow of content and data among users and applications. XBRL is significant because it brings financial information into the flow, too," said Mary Laplante, Vice President, Gilbane Group, an analyst and consulting firm that tracks business applications of content management technologies. "JustSystems’ xfy XBRL Solution will enable companies to realize benefits not only through participation in SEC reporting programs but also through more efficient, intelligent analysis of corporate financial information."

"The new xfy XBRL Solution is the latest step in our ongoing commitment to the development of innovative, standards-based solutions for the enterprise," said Diane Mueller, Vice President, XBRL Development, JustSystems, Inc. and current At Large Representative to the XBRL International Steering Committee.  "xfy XBRL Solution leverages the high-value metadata unique to XBRL to provide the extremely efficient analysis and validation functionality. In addition, the xfy architecture supports the delivery of multiple XML vocabularies in a single seamless user interface. Applications built with xfy can combine financial and other XML data sources in unified visualizations—this is the power of xfy. JustSystems has been putting a human face on complex markup technology for over twenty years and now has applied this expertise in the xfy platform to meet the challenging rendering and visualization needs of the XBRL community."

Scheduled for availability in Q1 2007, the JustSystems xfy XBRL Solution is based on xfy Enterprise Edition 1.5, which allows end users to easily connect disparate internal and external information silos with two-way information capability, while also enabling the end-user to benefit from highly-customizable visual presentation capabilities.

JustSystems is exhibiting at the 14th International XBRL Conference, December 4-6, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. For more information, please visit www.justsystems.com, www.xfy.com or http://conference.xbrl.org/.
