xfy from JustSystems to support IBM Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino in 2007

xfy Adapter Allows Organizations to Leverage and Extend Notes Database Assets

PALO ALTO, California — January 19, 2007 — JustSystems, Inc., a leading global enterprise software company, today announced plans to launch its "xfy adapter” for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino. The adapter enables organizations to handle data stored in Lotus Notes and Domino databases in xfy, an application development and mashup platform for XML data. The adapter is scheduled for availability later this year.

The new xfy adapter can access data stored in a Lotus Notes or Domino database, empowering organizations to leverage existing infrastructure investments and information. By combining this data with XML data from an XML database, XML documents within an organization or through Web services, it unlocks the information by presenting it visually with the xfy platform.

"Many corporations use Lotus Notes and Domino as their corporate platform to share information seamlessly. However, the utilization of information can be enhanced,” said Bruce Sharpe, president, Vancouver Technology Center, JustSystems. "With the new xfy adapter, users can integrate the data stored in a Lotus Notes or Domino database with other data, creating value-add information and a path to new ways of information utilization and discovery.”

"At IBM, we have consistently been at the forefront of identifying new ways to achieve operational efficiency,” said Kevin Cavanaugh, vice president, Lotus Notes and Domino Development, IBM. "When available, JustSystems’ xfy adapter for Lotus Notes and Domino will help enable our customers to take advantage of Web services and other applications, helping them get even greater business value out of the Lotus Notes/Domino platform."

xfy offers a user-friendly wizard-like process to allow users to access external systems and applications with ease. The XML data obtained from these sources is analyzed automatically, and displayed in an easy-to-read visual presentation that also enables end-users to switch the view and analyze the data from different angles. The original data is not edited or altered, so it enables organizations to comply with data security requirements.
